Coronavirus (2019-nCoV)

Introduction:

A new type of virus spreading globally which is been considered as a lethal virus. It is novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV). As per the WHO situation report- 1 on 31st December 2019, WHO China country office was informed of cases of pneumonia detected in Wuhan city, Hubei Province of China. Total 44 cases of pneumonia were reported from 31^st December,2019 thorough 3^rd January,2020. Causal agent was not identified throughout this period of time.

On 7th January 2020 the Chinese authorities identified a new type of virus known as coronavirus.

What is CORONAVIRUS (2019-nCoV)?

Coronavirus is a group of viruses that previously cause disease in mammals and birds but recently spreading through humans too. Some reports of China are stating that it is spreading through humans who ate infected seafood from coronavirus.

Symptoms of CORONAVIRUS (2019-nCoV)

Some basic symptoms of coronavirus are runny nose, sore throat, headache, cough, fever, feeling tired or unwell and restlessness.

How to prevent Coronavirus (2019-nCoV)

As per the current timeline there is no vaccine available to protect humans against corona Virus, but Chinese authorities and WHO are working on it.

But for basic prevention you should know that it is a communicable virus . So,

Avoid close contact with sick person
Avoid going out if you are unwell or sick
Wash your hands often with a soap and keep a hand sanitizer with you
Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.

Immediate Action:

Immediately go for a check-up if you feel sick or get any of the above symptoms for a longer duration than normal. (WHO advice)/

Casualty:

Corona-virus has spread at a very High rate in the cities of China. And now spreading global despite best efforts to quarantine the infected. As per latest WHO Situation Report – 60 (20 March 2020) Globally 234 073 confirmed (24 247) 9840 deaths (1061), however, as per report-19 of February 08, 2020, the status shows that Globally infected cases of 34,886 are confirmed (3419 new). However only in China 34 598 confirmed (3401 new), 6101 severe (1280 new), 723 deaths (86 new). Outside of China, 288 confirmed (18 new) in various 24 countries and causing 1 death.
